About the Role:
As a Data Analyst on S&P Global’s Private Markets Team, you will play a key role in researching asset management firms and maintaining comprehensive data on firms, contacts, funds, ownership, and relationships within the asset management and publicly traded securities markets. Your work will provide clients with actionable intelligence from regulatory filings, vendor data, and market insights used to make informed decisions in capital markets transactions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Extract, collate, and analyze high-quality data on investment plans and profiles including institutional investors and investment managers.
- Investigate asset management firms not currently listed in the buy-side database.
- Communicate directly with investment professionals via calls and email to gather detailed information on their investment strategies.
- Identify and create processes to collect and verify new or existing data sources.
- Review regulatory filings, prospectuses, industry publications, and other sources for relevant information.
- Maintain data entry standards and update databases accurately.
- Collaborate regularly with team leads and members to report project status and address queries promptly.
- Innovate and improve data collection methods and product/process enhancements.
Key Technical Skills:

Requirements:
- MBA with a specialization in finance from a reputed institute.
- Preferred: At least 1 year of relevant experience in data collection, research, or financial data analysis (fresh graduates considered).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical abilities with attention to detail.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel and MS Office Suite.
- Knowledge of capital markets, including equities and fixed income, preferred.
- Strong multitasking, prioritization, and time management skills.
- Comfortable working in night shifts, rotational shifts, and flexible hours.
